  2. Can I change my mind about the requests I make?

Yes. Your lastrequests arrangement form is not a legally binding agreement, you can change or update your form at any time.

  3. Who can see my requests?

Only you or your appointed representatives at time of need.

  4. Will my details be passed to other companies for marketing purposes?

No. Your wishes are personal to you & we will not allow your information to be passed to any third party for marketing or any other purpose.

  5. Are my last requests legally binding upon my family?

No, however we are sure that if you talk to your family they will endeavour to ensure that your wishes are carried out. You will also need to ensure that you have given your password to your family.

  8. I thought that funerals were dour affairs with everyone in black & lots of crying. Does my funeral have to be like that?

As a society we are slowly beginning to realise that a funeral service is a chance to celebrate the life of a loved one. Personalising the service helps your family & friends to remember what you meant to them. This can be through music, a poem, a reading or favourite hymms.

  9. What's the difference between this plan & a pre-paid funeral plan?

Most funeral directors offer pre-paid funeral plans, where you can pre-arrange your funeral at today's prices. There is, however, only limited scope within these plans for personalisation of some aspects of the service. Using this plan allows you to personalise all aspects of your funeral service.

  10. How will my funeral director re-act when presented with my wishes?

He will be delighted because it will give him scope to mould the funeral arround your requests.

  11. Why should I use , when I could put my wishes in my will?

A persons will is often not read until after the funeral has taken place, so your wishes for your funeral service may not be taken into consideration until it is too late. I have dealt with several families over the years who have had their loved one cremated when their wish was to be buried. Or who wished to be buried in an existing family grave which the person arranging the funeral was not aware of. These problems only came to light at the reading of the will, after the funeral.

A will is also a legally binding document primarily concerned with the distribution of a persons assets. offers an informal service which will ensure that your wishes are taken into account by your family at the appropriate time.

  12. You claim that you are a qualified funeral director, what qualification do you have & how do you get this qualification?

I have over 15 years experience in the funeral profession, I hold the Diploma in Funeral Directing, which is a nationally recognised qualification which is regulated by The national Association of Funeral Directors. I am also a qualified embalmer.
